Who needs Intra-Docs ?

In many organizations we find an extensive use of documents. Documents may change in size, useful life time and importance. Whether they are required for everyday work or just on special demand, we want to find them immediately, retrieve them on our workstation and be sure we are looking and working on the most up to date document.

Working on a LAN or WAN system allows to store documents locally or on the server, but a Document Management System is required to handle documents upload and retrieve actions and maintain some order to assure fast search and safe retrieval.

Many filing systems were developed in order to assure all these requirements, and many more, are met. Most of them require a dedicated software installed at client workstations or are sharing the database on the server (increasing unnecessary network traffic and security risks).

 

What is Intra-Docs ?

Intra-Docs is a client-server application installed on the LAN server machine that interacts with an Internet Web Server and a client-server database system (such as MS SQL Server&trade, MS ACCESS, ORACLE or any ODBCC compatible database).

Intra-Docs dynamically creates the HTML web pages through which the clients are performing the different searches and upload requests and get the required information.

The Intra-Docs application was developed using Allaire Cold Fusion™ application development tool.

Authorized client workstations may have a scanner and OCR software to load and convert paper documents to text files.
